Why do I do the things I do?

Rom. 7: 15-25 I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do.

Apostle Pau, who was a great man of God, struggling with the very same thing that we all struggle with: OURSELVES

So why do I do the things I do not want, and cannot do the things I want?
* Because of the sin nature in me.

No matter how hard you try to tame your sinful nature it will eventually spring up.
I is only the blood of Jesus Christ that defeats that sin nature.
YOU will continue to struggle with sin.

Some will say “I believe in Jesus Christ” and yet cannot get the victory.

Religion is not the answer.
* Religion will not defeat your sin problem
* Religion makes YOU responsible for becoming good
* If you do this. If you do that.

You must understand YOU cannot get victory over your sin problem.

You might be able to curb its appetite for awhile, but nature always creeps up to the surface.
* It is like dieting. It does not work. You must change your lifestyle
* You can curb sin, but it will eventually surface and you will SIN again
* You must change your lifestyle, be born again and get a new nature.

In Romans 12 Apostle Paul shows us that the only way is to be transformed.
* renewing our minds with the Word of God.

I will guarantee that If you are struggling with sin, If you struggle to do the good that you want to do, If you continue to do the things you hate. YOU ARE NOT IN THE WORD.

So what do you say?
* Are you sick and tired of being sick and tired?
* Are you ready for a drastic change?
* Are you ready to crucify the flesh and live for Christ?
Then you must make up your mind and surrender your heart to Christ.

Rom. 6: 3 We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from and dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new live.
