The Vision of the Church

Proverbs 29:18 - Where there is no vision, the people perish

The Vision
To have a vision means that you have a mental picture of going in a specific direction to accomplish some future objective.

Mission Statement
Cross Cut exists to communicate the life-changing power of Jesus Christ in a practical and under-standing way; to develop responsible, successful Christians; and to equip them for their ministry in the church and in the world.

Cross Cut Church Vision
* Meet people where they are.
* Love people in all situations.
* Grow people in the Word.
* Empower people thru the Spirit.
* Send people out to minister.

Bottom line, our vision is to make disciples

The Need to Re-capture the Vision
When we lose sight of the original vision; we settle for a smaller, more manageable goal, and we tend to circle the wagons, and desire simply to survive.

If we do not recapture the vision, the only thing we will succeed in is reproducing is more organized religion.

What we need to Obtain the Vision
1.You must be Saved Until you love someone, you will not put any effort into the relationship. You will not care what happens to that person or their family.

2. Feed on the Word You cannot go any further in your relationship with God without understanding Him and how to live right.

3. Be more than hearers...you must be doers Faith without works is dead.

4. You must own the Vision
Misconception that this is Lauras Church.
This attitude allows you to let the health of the church to others.
If this church had your name on it, you would be doing a lot more to keep it healthy.
You care for things when you have an investment in it.
