Practicing Protocol

A palace protocol is a code prescribing strict adherence to correct etiquette and precedence.

* Protocol-etiquette is the proper way you carry yourself, that you present yourself, the way you act.

There were over 100 girls brought into the palace for the beauty contest.
* What was it that Esther did to capture the heart of the King?
* She followed proper protocol, She desired his heart not his kingdom.

When we draw near to God, he draws near to us.  James 4:8

God gave Moses the protocol to come before him through the tabernacle

Ex 25:8 Then have them make a sanctuary for me, and I will dwell among them. Make this tabernacle and all its furnishings exactly like the pattern I will show you.

Outer court Brazen Altar, Laver

The Altar marks the beginning of spiritual life.
* All the offerings were made there.
* Heb 9:22 Without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin.

The first thing we must do in our walk towards the king is to seek forgiveness = repent.

The Laver, was for washing their hands and feet as they moved between the altar and the tabernacle tent. This is done by the Word.

Both pieces of furniture in the outer court are concerned with cleansing.

To walk any further into the Inner Court and the Holy of holies one needs more than just outward cleanse or a good appearances.

Proper Protocol was learned by leaving your old life. 
We too, must separate form our old life.

Quit thinking and living as the world does.
The world says its okay to have sex before marriage.
The world says its okay to live together rather than committing to marriage.
The world says its okay to have unforgiveness, bitterness, in your heart.

But its NOT OKAY IN THE KINGDOM

If you want to live out our potential in God, you too must learn to live in proper protocol.
