Open My Eyes. Pt 3 - See People as God sees them

As we become more Christ-centered and Kingdom-minded our desire should be to see as God sees, especially concerning people.

Luke 13:10-13 On the Sabbath Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues. A woman was there who had been crippled by a spirit for eighteen years. She was bent over and could not straighten up at all. When Jesus saw her He called her forward and said to her, Woman, you are set free from your infirmity. Then He put His hands on her and immediately she straightened up and praised God.

Three ways of Seeing Others as God Sees Them.

1. ACTUALLY SEE THE PEOPLE AROUND YOU. (saw her)

Lets look at two aspects of actually seeing others.

First, there are people in our daily lives longing to be noticed.
Second, to truly notice people you have to slow down and listen.

2. TAKE THE RISK OF ENGAGING OTHERS. (called her forward)

Everything about our information culture screams stay distant, disengaged and isolated so you do not get hurt.

Matt 8: 1-3 Jesus reached out his hand and touched the leper. 
Luke 8: 26-36 The demon possessed man, driven into solitary places

But Jesus declares through his life we are to live in the middle of a broken, hurtful, even dangerous world risking active, engaging love.

3. REACH OUT WITH GODS LOVE (put his hands on her)

Friends, there is not a single person you will meet in life, regardless of their personality, brokenness or ugly attitude that is not a child of God! 
(someone for whom Christ died. )

Luke 13:10-13, Jesus did not just see the woman and risk engaging her, he reached out to her.

Friends, today God invites you and me to a lifestyle of lifting up Gods broken and crippled children, and through the love we demonstrate, to sing to them the message they are loved, they are a child of God!

This can only be done if we see them through HIS Eyes!
