Open my Eyes - Pt 2 Consequences

This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live.  Deuteronomy 30:19

Making a choice is like picking up a stick.
* When you pick up one end of a stick, the other end always comes with it.
* When you make a choice, a consequence always comes with it.

How do we discern the consequences of our action?

1. Ask God to open Your Eyes

James 4:2 You have not because you ask not.

2. Before making choices ask yourself these questions

* Do I need to hide what I am doing?

Num 32:23 Be sure your sins will find you out.

* Will this decision affect others?

Phil 2: 3-5 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should
look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.

* Would God approve?

3. Make no Decisions based on Emotions

Feelings come and go. One day we feel good and the next we feel bad.

4. Surround Yourself with Wise people

1 Cor. 15:33 Bad company corrupts good character.

Are you tired of making wrong choices and suffering painful consequences?

* Your life will ever change without you purposing it to.
* Insanity is doing the same thing and expecting different results.
* There comes a time in our lives that we must begin making better choices for our lives.

That begins by having your Eyes Opened.
