IMPARTATION OF BLESSINGS

Genesis 27: 1-4 Isaac Blesses Jacob.

The blessing that Isaac bestowed on his Son was a Powerful Prophetic declaration.

In Impartation of blessings we see four points.

1. To impart something means to give, convey, grant from as if from a store.

2. To Bless: To invoke divine favor on, to bestow happiness, prosperity or good things of all kinds; to make a pronouncement holy; to consecrate, to glorify for the benefits received, to extol for excellencies.

In Hebrew, Baruch.  literal meaning to kneel before someone.

* However, the primary spiritual connotation is to empower to prosper.

* So when you bless someone, you kneel before them in humility and literally empower that person to prosper

In the Greek, Eulogia. The literal meaning of this word is to speak well of.

* A eulogy also has the meaning to speak well of someone, unfortunately is spoken at a funeral.

* In order to empower one to prosper, a blessing must be spoken while the person is yet living and can receive the blessing.

3. A Blessing: A prayer or solemn wish imploring happiness upon another which promotes prosperity and welfare Blessing is Gods mechanism of impartation of His image of identity and destiny to the hearts of people.

Blessing is more than mere words, they were substance.

Let me interject here that the impartation of blessings are not only for children
You can bless you wife, husband, in-laws, etc....

4. To impart a blessing means to give, convey or grant Gods prosperity and favor.

* A verbal blessing is made up of three powerful forces: our words, Gods Word, and Gods name.

* The power of our words alone is affirmed by the Scripture that states, Death and life are in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:21).
