Don’t Ask for just a Few

How many of you have a need?

What do we do? Where do we turn?

2 Kings 4: 1-7 Here we have a woman who had a great financial need.
It was so great that she was going to lose her two sons if it was not paid.

But the determining factor in getting her need met was two-fold:
* Her faith
* Her boldness.

Faith

2 key points to our faith.

It connects you to the miracle worker.

Because of who she was, she had the privilege to go to the prophet for help.
Because of who we are, we have the privilege to go to the Father for help.

It matters not the size
Elisha asked what do you have in your house?  Nothing, except a little oil

God asks us how much faith do you have?  Not much, just the size of a mustard seed

Her Boldness

2 King 4: 3 Go around and ask all your neighbors for empty jars. Do not ask for just a few.

Scripture after scripture tells us to come boldly to God for our needs.

Heb 4:16 Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

Luke 11: 1-13 I tell you, though he will not get up and give him the bread because he is his friend, yet because of the mans boldness he will get up and give him as much as he needs

It is our boldness to ask that gets our prayers answered.

Elisha told her DO NOT ASK FOR JUST A FEW JARS.

I do not know about you, But I want everything I can get from God.

I serve a BIG GOD who can do BIG THINGS in BIG WAYS.

I want my cups overflowing. And I never want the oil to run out.
